TRANSPORTABLE MODULAR POD BUILDING SPECIFICATIONS

The concept of the BUILTsmart Pod System is to design a unit with great specifications in a size that can be built ex-yard Huntly for speed and cost effectiveness, and can be transported to remote or difficult locations, which often need to be craned into position.

  • 25mm Metra flooring over 240 x 45 floor joists at 450 centres
  • Bearers to be fitted to piles onsite before the pods are transported to site
  • WALL & CEILING SYSTEM
  • Metra Panel wall and ceiling system
  • Sloping ceiling to kitchen, dining, lounge pod
  • Flat ceiling to bedroom pod
  • ROOF
  • Parapet roof with internal gutter system and rain water heads at both end of pod
  • Long run 0.55 Colorsteel roofing over self-supporting roof underlay – Colorsteel Maxx Range
  • ALUMINIUM JOINERY
  • Vantage double glazed powder coated aluminium windows and doors as per the drawings (colour to be chosen Duralloy Generation 2 colour range)
  • Stippolyte obscure glazing to bathroom & WC windows, clear float glass to all other joinery
  • EXTERIOR CLADDING
  • Prices are based on band sawn ply board and batten or vertical corrugated Colorsteel. There are many other claddings that can be priced on request such as cedar, Colorsteel, weather board, titian board. Pricing is based on direct fixed cladding.

  • All our kitchen units are constructed from formica laminate over water resistant plywood. We do not build our kitchens carcasses out of Melteca (chip board).

  • PLB have allowed for all building consent fees ex-yard Huntly. PLB to supply a code of compliance ex-yard Huntly for each pod.

THE FOLLOWING IS NOT INCLUDED IN OUR PRICING BUT CAN BE ADDED AT YOUR REQUEST:

Window treatments, site prep, pile foundations, decks, steps and base cladding, onsite services – (power, water, storm water & sewerage system), down pipes installed by drainage contractor, under floor waste by drainage contractor, engineering, surveying, onsite building consent fees, resource consent or council contributions, consent notice requirements listed on the certificate of title, vehicle crossing. We cannot price site works or onsite services until we have the appropriate engineering information and contour plans as these vary from site to site.
