Dear Fiona and Philip
It was great to be able to catch up with you both again when the Prime Minister [Rt Hon Bill English] was in our electorate.
Thank you for the work you both put in to make the visit the success it was, I very much appreciate it.
It is important that our leaders get to the coal face of enterprising businesses and hear about both your challenges and successes. The Prime Minister was delighted with the visit and the cross-section of people you had included.
I wish you all the very best for the future.
MP for Waikato
We were thrilled to host the Prime Minister at our Huntly factory in August. The visit was to discuss the building industry and the opportunities in regards to the housing shortage in Christchurch and Auckland. It was also an opportunity to showcase how various Huntly businesses work collaboratively with construction products to produce homes that are unique and cost efficient whilst achieving high quality compliance and green star ratings.
Philip Leather, founder and managing director of PLB provided a personalised tour through three BUILTsmart homes at various stages of construction. They discussed the benefits that BUILTsmart homes offer and the Prime Minister was really impressed with the high quality, cost efficiency and construction methods of our homes.
Hon. John Key was very approachable and talked to all of our staff members, subcontractors and various Huntly business people. It was a great afternoon that was thoroughly enjoyed by all that attended.
